Here our parquet blocks have been fitted above a pre-prepared subfloor of 9mm plywood and Mapei Renovation self levelling compound meeting the height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm under a 3m straight edge.
Each block has been fitted tongue to groove whilst adhered to the subfloor using Sika T54 Parquet Adhesive.
Once the entire floor had been laid the oak blocks were sanded on site before Lecol 5500 filler was used to fill any imperfections across the floor and left to cure overnight.
Following the sanding of cured filler one prime coat of Bona Traffic HD Raw lacquer was applied and left to cure overnight before being buffed the next morning and receiving a further two coats of the same lacquer.
