The parquet blocks have been fitted above a combination of 9mm plywood and Mapei Renovation self levelling compound in order to achieve the height deviation tolerance of +/- 3mm over a 3m area.
Each block has been fitted tongue to groove whilst adhered to the subfloor using Sika MS Polymer wood floor adhesive.
Once the floor had been laid the expansion gap left around the perimeter for the flooring to expand and contract was masked using 22mm solid oak invisible lacquered flatplate.
