Featuring an extremely stable SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) core, a huge 0.7mm scratch & water resistant commercial grade wear layer as well as a built-in underlay offering sound reduction up to 19dB, our RVP is the perfect floor covering for a high-traffic area.
The RVP has been laid free floating above a prepared subfloor which presented many challenges. With undulations of up to 20mm across the floorspace a combination of 9mm, 6mm and 4mmplywood was used in conjunction with Mapei Renovation self levelling compound to achieve the required sub-floor height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm over a 3m area.
Each plank has been fixed to one another using the floorings built-in locking system.
Once the flooring had been installed Barolo coloured radiator roses were fitted to the base of the radiator pipes whilst 22mm solid oak flatplates were installed to the base of the kitchen end panels, stairs, bifold doors and utility room door to mask the expansion gap left for the flooring to move.
