Each block has been adhered to a plywood subfloor using Sika 54 Parquet Adhesive. The plywood subfloor was constructed to meet the recommended height deviation tolerance of + / – 2mm in height under a 3m straight edge.
Whilst the field of the flooring was being laid a border was reserved by marking and carving a two block width from the walls. The border was installed with a two block stagger around the perimeter of the flooring.
Once the entire floor had been laid the blocks were sanded on site with any minor gaps between blocks filled using Lecol 7500 Filler.
The job was complete once the parquet blocks were lacquered using Bona Traffic HD Matt.
