To achieve the subfloor height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm over a 3m area 6mm plywood was used in conjunction with the original floorboards.
The engineered boards have been laid free floating above Duralay acoustic underlay with each board bonded tounge to groove using Lecol PVAC wooden flooring adhesive.
Once the flooring installation was complete skirting boards were fixed to mask the expansion gap left for the flooring to expand and contract naturally.
Both the brushing effect combined with the oiled finish enhances the oaks beautiful natural characteristics bringing an abundance of warmth and character to the property.
