In order to achieve the subfloor height deviation tolerance of +/- 3mm over a 3m area Mapei No Ammonia self levelling compound was used throughout.
The engineered boards have been laid free floating above Duralay acoustic foil backed underlay with each board bonded tongue to groove using Mapei PVA wooden flooring adhesive.
Whilst skirting boards will mask the expansion gap left for the floor to expand and contract, solid oak radiator roses have been fitted to the base of radiator pipework and 22mm lacquered oak flatplate’s have been fitted to the base of external doors.
Brushed and matt lacquered; the texture and warmth of the oak boards has brought an abundance of character to this beautiful family home.
