Installed above a subfloor of 6mm plywood, the 8mm Egger Laminate planks were laid free floating above Duralay acoustic underlay with each board locked in to one another using the floorings built-in click system. An expansion gap was maintained around the perimeter of the flooring to account for any natural movement.
Once the flooring had been installed solid lacquered oak flatplate’s were fixed to mask the expansion gap left around the perimeter of the room whilst solid lacquered oak radiator rose’s, stair nosing’s and door trim’s were used as neat details.
The job was finalised once all trim pin-holes were filled using Bona Gapmaster.
