The majority of the blocks were adhered to a parquet subfloor which met a tolerance of +/- 2mm in height under a 3m straight edge. The remanding blocks were adhered to a subfloor of Mapei Latex levelling compound and Sika Liquid DPM. Sika T54 Parquet Adhesive was used to bond the parquet blocks to both subfloors.
Whilst the field of the flooring was being laid a border was reserved by marking and carving a two block width from the walls. The border was installed with a two block stagger around the perimeter of the flooring.
Once the entire floor had been laid the blocks were sanded on site with any minor gaps between blocks then filled using Lecol 7500 Filler. The installation was complete following the appliance of both Bona Prime Classic and Bona Traffic HD Extra Matt.
