The Lalegno Bourgogne boards have been laid free floating above a Duralay acoustic underlay which lies on top of existing Victorian wooden floorboards. The floorboards were levelled using hammer and nail to achieve the subfloor height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm over a 3m area.
With all wall’s of the house contradicting one another our installation team was able to find a perfect balance in centralising the flooring to minimise the threat of narrow slithers against any walls of the property.
Each board has been bonded tongue to groove using Lecol PVAC wooden flooring adhesive.
The installation was complete with the fixings of Bourgogne coloured stair nosing’s before white primed quadrant was fixed to the perimeter of the floor space to mask the expansion gap left for the flooring to expand and contract naturally.
