In order to achieve the subfloor height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm over a 3m area Mapei self levelling compound was used above the existing concrete subfloor. Once the Mapei self levelling compound had fully cured Sika Primer MB Liquid DPM was applied to the subfloor to reduce the speed of rising moisture.
The Pinotgris boards have been laid free floating above Duralay acoustic underlay with each board bonded tounge to groove using Lecol PVAC wooden flooring adhesive.
Once the flooring installation was complete two sticks of solid oak flatplate stained to match Pinotgris were fixed to mask the expansion gap left at the base of the glass doors for the flooring to expand and contract naturally.
