To achieve the subfloor height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm over a 3m area a combination of Mapei Renovation self levelling compound and 5.5mm plywood was used.
The oak boards have been laid free floating above Duralay acoustic underlay with each board bonded tounge to groove using Lecol PVAC wooden flooring adhesive.
Once the flooring installation was complete lacquered oak radiator roses were fitted to the base of the radiator pipes, white primed quadrant was fixed to the perimeter of the floorspace whilst lacquered oak door profiles were fitted to bridge the gap left between the hallway and it’s attaching rooms.
