In order to achieve the subfloor height deviation tolerance of +/- 3mm over a 3m area a combination of Mapei Renovation self levelling compound and 5.5mm plywood was used throughout.
The engineered boards have been laid free floating above Duralay acoustic underlay with each board bonded tongue to groove using Mapei PVA wooden flooring adhesive.
Once the flooring had been laid an additional coat of Osmo Polyx Hardwax Oil was applied in a clear matt sheen. The texture and colour of the oak boards have brought an abundance of character and warmth to this beautiful family home.
