The parquet blocks have been fitted above a combination of 5.5mm, 9mm & 12mm plywood and Mapei Renovation self levelling compound in order to achieve the height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm under a 3m straight edge.
Each block has been fitted tongue to groove whilst adhered to the subfloor using Sika MS wood floor adhesive.
Once the floor had been laid the expansion gap left around the perimeter for the flooring to expand and contract was masked using oiled 22mm solid oak flatplate.
