Here our parquet blocks have been fitted above a pre-prepared plywood subfloor meeting the height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm under a 3m straight edge.
Each block has been fitted tounge to groove whilst adhered to the subfloor using Sika T54 Parquet Adhesive.
Once the entire floor had been laid the oak blocks were sanded on site before Lecol 5500 filler was used to fill any imperfections across the floor and left to cure overnight.
Following the sanding of cured filler one prime coat of Bona Mega Silkmatt lacquer was applied before two top coats of Bona Traffic HD Silkmatt lacquer.
The job was finalised with the fixings of pre-primed white oak quadrant and 22mm solid oak flatplates to mask the gap left around the perimiter of the floorspace for the oak to expand and contract naturally.
